These are a few of my favorite things...

The skyline at night from the Brooklyn Bridge, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral,

the Highline, New York Public Library, and Central Park...I can go on and on!  With the views of these places always changing in the light, it's like you're always seeing them for the first time!  I love that!



The Windows

Oh my!  The windows!  Extravagant, expensive, nostalgic, and glamorous! 

From Bergdorf to Tiffany and everything in between we saw windows dripping with creativity and imagination.  Though Bergdorf''s had the most elaborate windows, Tiffany's had my favorite with crisp, simple, miniature displays set up in a carousel fashion.  Gems were placed in the windows just right to showcase their sparkle and give them all the glory!

The Parade

Finally, a dream come true!  As a child, I would sit and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on the television while my mom prepared whatever we were taking to Grandma's for the holiday meal.  I would ogle at the balloons, always looking for Snoopy and wonder what it would be like to be there, in the city, in the midst of all that holiday excitement.

Now I know and it was even better than I ever could have imagined!
